PROJECT BRIEF

This illustration for birth announcement card was commissioned by a French-Kiwi family. Élio’s mum envisioned a simple line drawing with a classic/vintage mood, showing little Élio walking through his garden, with both his mum’s and dad’s homeland flora and fauna represented; between the Oak tree and the Nikau tree, little Élio and the kiwi bird listen to the Tui tune, being looked after by the squirrel, the rabbit and the fantail. I was also asked to add the kiddie’s icons Sophie La Giraffe and Buzzy Bee, held by Élio. It was quite fun working on this first digital pen project.
